这时期创作了水粉画《台后鱼水情》、版画《夜巡》、油画《我为祖国守大桥》等作品。它们直接反映了生活,充满了浓郁的军营生活情趣,并初次入选全国全军美展。自此,画战争与和平、画刺刀与玫瑰、画军营风景线和我结下了不解之缘。 1974年,部队送我到中央美术学院油画系深造。靳尚谊、侯一民老师那种造型严谨的风格和军队画家高虹、何孔德老师那种气势磅礴的画风成了贯串我整个创作的基本要素,并逐渐溶进了自己的作品中。70年代后80年代初创作的油画《淮海大战》(合作)、《边陲之晨》(合作)、《凯旋》、《霞》(合作)等多以歌颂为主。如果说创作初期的作品只注意反映生活,那么这以后的作品则注重表现生活。 80年代初同杨娌娅合作的《霞》展示的是两位女兵在训练间隙的休息场景,逆光中的晚霞如炽,色调明丽,一种对和平生活的向往和对美的追求扑面而来。《霞》在以抒情的笔调反映军营火热严谨的生活上作了初试,并影响了我以后的创作道路。战争是我关注和着墨的重点。79年那场发生在边境的局部战
