According to the North American Wood Fiber Review, exports of wood coal from the United States and Canada to Europe showed a downward trend in 2014. In the fourth quarter of 2013 to the second quarter of 2014, exports in the southern United States increased by 10%, while Canadian exports decreased by 25%.
