International sports in 1999 experienced a flurry of restlessness. This agitation is not so much a matter of its own pain in the process of professionalization and commercialization as it is for the series of reforms in the new century. Despite the absence of the Olympic Games and the World Cup, the main news of this year’s sports is still related to the Olympic Games and football. To sum up, people can clearly see that the international sports are faced with an embarrassment: competitive sports should seek a way out of professionalism and commercialization, but the process of commercialization often makes it deviate from the original purpose; and athletes challenge themselves, The pursuit of the highest limit of efforts, eventually becoming a field name and profit competition. There was then a reform, but how easy it is for a sport to be welcomed both by viewers and sponsors and at the breeding ground for money worship and moral decline on the playground.
