Bitmap(BMP)is a widely used format in image processing.With the combination of the digital image processing and computer numerically controlled(NC)techniques,we developed a bitmap-based NC single-step and multi-dot method. An example was provided to illustrate the application and principle of this bitmap-based method in our newly innovated sandblasting glass NC sculpture system.
