(By Ben Spanking) On October 29, 2013, Honeywell announced that its feature materials and technologies group will establish a manufacturing site in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province to meet the demand for energy technologies and high-performance materials in the Asian market. Phase I of the facility will invest in catalysts and sorbent products from Honeywell’s UOP. The high performance catalyst required for Honeywell’s UOP OleflexTM process is an advanced process technology for the production of propylene, which is used primarily for the production of plastic products.
