阔别长江南畔武汉瑜珈山整整三十年了。“龟蛇锁大江”的武汉三镇,在武昌城郊有座深林荫翳、风景秀丽的瑜珈山,全国百强高校前列的华中科技大学就北倚这座山前,当年还只称为华中工学院。三十年来它一直是我梦萦魂系的蓬莱。记得当初每当夕阳西下之际,我们这群来自祖国各地的年轻学者都会结伴漫步在这蓬莱仙境间,此情此景成了我一生永恒的念想。然而让我念想更多的不止是这里的环境,更有我们敬爱的恩师严学宭教授。他那瘦小而又矍铄的身躯,犹如一尊日夜闪亮的雕像,永远铭刻在我的心中。我在上世纪六七十年代一直在高校从事古典文学教学工作。在教学实践中,深感前贤创立的音韵、训诂、文字学是学习古文入门的基本功,所以总称之为“小学”。然而当代的教育体制让我们这些后学者,
