In order to investigate the changes of cerebral blood flow in neonatal pigs with hypoxic-ischemic brain damage, 16 newborn pigs were divided into 4 groups: normal, hypoxic-ischemic 15 minutes, 30 minutes and 60 minutes. Morphology and distribution, and using stereological methods to determine the brain tissue microvessel width and volume fraction. The results showed that: with the hypoxia-ischemia time, the small blood vessels appear discontinuous fracture, few to 60 minutes when the capillaries, only a small amount of blood vessels showed broken branches dendritic. Stereological analysis showed that with the extension of hypoxic-ischemic time, the width of capillaries and venules became narrower (P <0.05), while the volume of capillaries and venules decreased gradually (P <0.05). This shows that the decline in cerebral blood flow in the pathogenesis of hypoxic-ischemic brain injury plays an important role.
