记者从有关部门获悉,国家科技部与加拿大国家研究院拟在青建立中加科技园。日前,国家科技部石定环秘书长专程赴青会见了加拿大国家研究院工业研究援助计划署亚洲地区主任Bruce Pridmore先生所率代表团。洽谈期间,石定环秘书长重点介绍了我国科技界在抗击SARS斗争中的努力及今后与加拿大在清洁能源研究和产业化、中小型科技企业促进和在青岛设立中加海洋科技工业园的设想。
The reporter learned from relevant departments that the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Institute of Canada proposed to establish a science and technology park in China and Canada. Recently, Secretary-General Shi Dinghuan of the State Ministry of Science and Technology made a special trip to Shanghai to meet with a delegation led by Bruce Pridmore, Director of the Asia Research Institute of Industrial Research Assistance, National Institute of Science and Technology of Canada. During the talks, Secretary-General Shi Dinghuan emphasized the efforts made by China’s scientific and technological community in the fight against SARS and the future plans of Canadian research and industrialization of clean energy, the promotion of small and medium-sized science and technology enterprises and the establishment of a marine science and technology industrial park in Qingdao.
