随着现代社会经济水平的高速发展,人们的物质需求已经越来越高,从最简单的温饱问题上升到现如今的高楼、汽车和衣食品牌,但是这些物质享受除了给人们带来满满的虚荣心之外,就是深不见底的惰性。在全新快速发展的信息社会,让年轻人,特别是学生变得越来越浮躁,成为了文学的边缘人,精神世界匮乏的现代人越来越需要文学的滋养。随着全球一体化,英语语言教学在国内也越来越受到重视,英语课上对文学的分析也愈加重要,其中出现的长难句很容易打击学生的信心,不仅需要翻译,而且还得翻译得得体、这通常让学生学习英语语言文学成为了一种挑战。但是,如果在教学过程中,老师能够耐心的指导学生,让学生更加注重英语语言文学的“具体”信息,比如地理位置、作者背景或者人物主体等等一系列“具体化”的文学信息,学生就会容易理解一些,但是这些理解仅仅停留在浅层次。因此,本文通过探讨如何将英语语言文学的“抽象”和“具体”相结合的方式,让学生更科学地理解英语文学。
