近年来,白热化的传媒市场竞争中,娱乐新闻已成为各类媒体迎合大众心理、吸引眼球、赚取卖点的重要内容类型之一,主流媒体也未能免俗。娱乐新闻通常以娱乐明星为主角,极尽曝隐私、揭疮疤、捕风捉影、贫嘴饶舌等八卦之能事,大都格调不高,甚至沦于低俗。然而,娱乐圈内稀有的拥有天籁般嗓音、美丽、善良、坚强的姚贝娜,却给了原本上不了台面的娱乐新闻一次成为“正剧”的机会。
