徐(讠于)生于1908年,死于1980年,他从30年代开始文学创作,在长达50年的创作时间里,共出版了长、中、短篇小说70部,另外还有为数不少的新诗和剧本。不管从作品的质还是作品的量来说,徐(讠于)都是现当代文学史上并不多见的作家。但熟悉各种各样的现当代文学教材、专著的人都知道,徐(讠于)在文学史教材、专著中实是一位可有可无,无足轻重的角色,无论是在大陆还是在港台,情况都基本类似。有的文学史干脆将他遗忘,有的提到也是出于“补遗”,在简单的评介中不乏贬意。无怪乎徐(讠于)晚年会发出这样的感叹:现代文学诸领域中,最无成就可言不是文学批评领域。批评者都按照与自己关系的亲疏远
Born in 1908 and died in 1980, Xu began his literary career in the 1930s. During his 50 years of writing, Xu published a total of 70 short, long and medium length novels, Few new poems and scripts. Xu (讠 于) is a rare writer in the history of modern and contemporary literature, both in terms of the quality of his works and the amount of his works. However, people familiar with all kinds of modern and contemporary literary textbooks and monographs know that Xu (讠 于) is an optional and insignificant character in textbooks and monographs of literary history, whether in mainland China or in Hong Kong Taiwan, the situation is basically similar. Some literary history simply forgotten him, and some are also referred to as “addendum”, lack of derogatory intention in a simple review. It is no wonder that Xu (讠 in later years) would send such a sigh: in the field of modern literature, the least accomplishment is not the field of literary criticism.
