江泽民同志把与时俱进作为我国哲学社会科学保持活力的重要保证是完全正确 ,非常及时的。与时俱进是我国哲学繁荣之路。我们的哲学特别是马克思主义哲学理论工作者应该吃透江泽民关于与时俱进论断的重大意义 ,把它变成一种治学态度和治学方法 ,解决我们的哲学意识与马克思主义品质之间可能或现实存在的不同程度的矛盾。要使哲学与时俱进 ,需要正确处理传统与当代的矛盾、哲学的人文本性和市场经济利益导向的矛盾。要正确处理这两对矛盾需要树立三种眼光 :一是时代的眼光 ,二是世界眼光 ,三是问题的眼光。哲学工作者要树立正确的价值导向。在哲学家个人来说 ,在金钱与学术之间应该分个轻重。一个是个人的问题 ,一个不仅是个人的问题 ,更重要的是事关民族精神的培育和文化繁荣的问题。要正确认识哲学家的使命 ,自觉地为社会主义建设服务 ,为提高我们的人民特别是青年的人文素质服务。
Comrade Jiang Zemin’s adhering to keeping pace with the time as an important guarantee for maintaining vitality in China’s philosophy and social sciences is entirely correct and timely. Keeping pace with the times is the road of philosophical prosperity in our country. Our philosophy, especially Marxist philosophical theory workers, should eat thoroughly the great significance of Jiang Zemin’s thesis on how to advance with the times and turn it into a study-oriented attitude and a method for treating scholarship so as to resolve the possibility or reality between our philosophical awareness and the quality of Marxism There are different levels of contradictions. To make philosophy keep pace with the times, we need to correctly handle the contradictions between the traditional and contemporary contradictions, the humanistic nature of philosophy and the interests of the market economy. To correctly handle these two conflicts requires three kinds of vision: one is the vision of the times, the other is the world vision, and the third is the vision of the issue. Philosophical workers should establish the correct value orientation. For philosophers, there should be a distinction between money and scholarship. One is an individual problem, one is not only an individual problem, but more importantly concerns the cultivation of the national spirit and the issue of cultural prosperity. We must correctly understand the philosopher’s mission, serve the socialist construction consciously, and serve the humanities of our people, especially the youth.
