Japan is the country with the longest average life expectancy of the world’s population, and Japan prematurely entered an aging society as early as the early 1970s. Faced with the rapidly developing minority-aged society, based on a well-established system of well-being for the elderly established in the 1960s, a new social welfare for the elderly whose age is 80 years has been established for the 21st century system. It is of special significance to introduce and study the welfare system for the elderly in Japan to meet the challenge of our aging society.
