明初的文人、画家继承了元人那种悠然自得的闲雅生活方式,寄情于诗文书画,诗歌雅集、书画会友、相互题鉴,风靡一时,这与当时渐趋稳定的社会局面不无关联。先后出现的文人画家有徐贲、赵原、王绂、谢缙、夏昶、杜琼、刘珏、沈贞、姚绶等人。他们继承了元四家的绘画风格,虽各有不同,但在笔墨上无不体现出文人逸气,画风高雅,有元人流风余韵。他们生活在元末明初之际,在思想意趣、人际往还上还存有元人悠游天下、放浪江湖
The literati and painter of the early Ming inherited the idyllic leisurely lifestyles of the Yuan Dynasty.
