《了不起的盖茨比》是美国一部家喻户晓的经典,这和他两元性写作技巧的精彩应用十分不开的,正是通过在颜色、情景、人物性格及小说主题等方面充分应用这一技巧使他能栩栩如生地重现那个时代的社会风貌、生活气息和感情节奏。在沉湎其中的同时,用凄婉的笔调抒写了战后“迷们的一代”对于“美国梦”感到幻灭的悲哀.不妨说,《了不起的盖茨比》是“爵士时代”的一曲挽歌,一个与德莱塞的代表作异曲同工的美国的悲剧。本文主要探究弗茨杰拉德在其作品《了不起的盖茨比》中颜色的二元性写作技巧应用。
