The Northeast Aluminum Alloy Co., Ltd. undertakes a project for the development of ultra-high-strength aluminum alloy sheet for large-scale passenger aircraft. It has achieved a major breakthrough in process technology. The toughness of the sheet has been reasonably matched. Various technical indicators have met the requirements and there is a surplus. This means that Chinalco Dongcai has become the first domestic company to trial production of this product, and has also made China the second country in the world to develop such an ultra-high-strength aluminum alloy sheet. From November 2011, Dongcao began the development of this material.
