The overlapping of educational environment and dynamic social environment is a prominent feature of modern society and modern education. With the further development of the market economy, school education is faced with the challenge of changing the dramatic social environment. The influence of popular music, especially popular songs of Hong Kong and Taiwan, on adolescents has constituted an important factor influencing the effectiveness of school education in mainland China. In October 1993, the author conducted a survey on “Popular Music and Adolescents” in Ninghai Middle School, Gulou District, Nanjing.
