我公司第一地质队在川东华蓥山区北部三叠纪石膏矿的勘探过程中,发现了浅层的杂卤石钾盐矿床,为在四川浅层找寻钾盐矿取得了重要线索。该矿床位渠县北东,距襄渝铁路七公里,交通方便。矿层埋藏较浅,水文地质条件不甚复杂,为一具有重要经济意义的矿床。该矿床位于四川台地川东华蓥山背斜北部倾没端。背斜呈北东一南西向延伸。次级构造较为复杂,形成一串左型雁列短轴背斜,在其中之偏崖子背斜轴部钻孔中发现杂卤石岩。区
