宗炳《画山水序》是中国山水画论的第一篇系统论文,其重要性自不待言,不过关于《画山水序》的学术地位的具体内涵仍有待细致考辨。对宗炳《画山水序》的思想归属、论证模式、自然美与艺术美的关系、艺术本体论程度、山水美学观的纯粹性、“卧游”观念、“畅神”论、“以形写形”、与山水诗的关系、透视法、理论的超前性等问题的辨析讨论,使得我们对其学术地位有更深入的理解。这对于理解中国艺术史与美学史也有一定助益。
Zong Bing’s “Painting Preserving Landscape” is the first systematic essay on Chinese landscape painting. Its importance is unsurprising. However, the specific connotation of the academic status of “painting landscapes” still needs to be carefully examined. The ideological affiliation, argumentation mode, the relationship between natural beauty and artistic beauty, the degree of artistic ontology, the pureness of landscape aesthetic view, the concept of “lying-in-one”, the theory of " Discrimination and discussion on the relationship between landscape painting and landscape poetry, perspective method and the advanced nature of the theory make us have a deeper understanding of its academic status. It is also helpful for understanding the history of Chinese art and the history of aesthetics.
