众所周知,英语作为一种语言类的学科,与数学、理科的学科不同,要想学好英语必须经过长期的积累,这种积累的过程主要就是英语词汇的积累,本文将从我国中小学英语词汇教育入手,具体探析中小学英语教育的运用方式。我国中小学英语传统教育为应试教育,这种教育方式体现在英语词汇的机械式记忆,学生只是依靠死记硬背才能掌握英语词汇,这种教学方式使学生不能自由运用英语词汇,这就是传统英语教育的弊端。新时期英语教育改革的主要方向就是在语境理论中学好中小学英语词汇教学,这成为本文探析的重点。
