为了检查《高等学校英语专业基础阶段英语教学大纲》(以下简称“大纲”)自1988年颁发以来全国各校贯彻执行的情况,国家教委高教司于1990年6月9日对全国高等院校英语专业基础阶段四级的学生进行了统一英语测试(以下简称“统测”)。我们受国家教委高教司的委托,参加了有关这次英语统测的组织工作和命题工作。由于上级部门的重视和关心、兄弟院校领导和师生的支持和配合,在“统测”工作小组全体同志的努力下,这项任务现已顺利完成,并取得了预期的效果。
