“光大白”是我所于1977年用激光照射选育而成的早籼中熟新品种。它具有穗大、粒大、熟期短、高产稳产、早晚兼用的特点。一、选育过程1976年春,以“红410”葫动种子为材料,用二氧化碳(CO_2)激光(波长106000A°,输出功率50瓦)照射三秒钟。照射当代未见变异,成熟时混收保存,1976年倒种单本插植第二代,从中选择出若干变异单株。1977年早季按株系进行第三代小区种植,发现其中一个小区株型好,颖尖无色、穗大、粒大、整齐度高,小区测产折亩产960斤,对照种(红410)小区测产折亩产840斤。同年晚季进行单本繁殖1.15亩,折亩产846斤,对照种(红410)折亩产692斤。另外,稀播种培育三叉秧,插6×5寸规格,小区测产折亩产1004斤,单产超过对照种。
