推行政务公开,是建立健全惩治和预防腐败体系,形成行为规范、运转协调、公正透明、廉洁高效的行政管理体制的重要内容。近年来,地方各级政府按照党中央、国务院的部署和要求,把政务公开作为发展社会主义民主政治、加强党的执政能力建设的重要举措来抓,围绕群众普遍关心、涉及群众利益的问题,不断规范政务公开的内容、形式和程序,完善政务公开的工作机制,全力以赴抓落实,使政务公开工作保持着稳步发展的良好势头。同时,大量事实也说明,深入推进政务公开,还需进一步加强制度建设,逐步健全监督保障措施,努力提高公开的针对性和实效性,使政务公开成为各级政府施政的一项基本制度,更好地为改革发展稳定大局和构建社会主义和谐社会服务。本刊这期特别报道了6个省、市政务公开工作的经验,供各地借鉴。
