Buckwheat inspired older people to make a difference. Can those people who have delayed the sowing of the spring harvest? Can those who have lost their studies or created youth during their prime years (eg the “Cultural Revolution” ...) can still do something in their later years? This made me remember the buckwheat many times. Buckwheat, crop harvested in late autumn or early winter. It sows before and after autumn. My hometown of Jinan, a rural saying goes: “the first carrot, two volts, three kinds of buckwheat.” One of my deepest childhood memories: the drought in 1943, the North China Plain, Shandong, Henan, the Red one thousand miles. It has been until the next three under the rain. At this time of planting millet, sorghum (now a variety of corn instead) is too late, had to plant buckwheat. My family relies on the village that two acres planted buckwheat alive. Neighbors also grow buckwheat. To the late autumn and early winter, in that “boundless wood rustling” season, but it is full of vitality. That white flowers, the pink stems, the breeze was blowing, there is red, white rolling billowing beauty, it is in my mind is the best in the world.
