坚持合理造材,是提高产品质量、降低木材成本的关键问题。所谓合理造材,就是提高优材、特殊材和长材的比例。具体地讲:就是提高木材的经济价值。目前,由于一些林业企事业单位的技术力量薄弱和技术指导跟不上去,加之为了赶任务、求进度,而忽视了产品质量。为此,不合理造材现象较为普遍,特别是以承包作业为主和搞计件的单位尤为严重。有些社员及林业职工为了提高木材产量和便于集材,把长材截成短材,优材截成劣材。有的社员或工人在造材中一锯就给国家造成几元、十几元、甚至几十元的经济损失。
