黄金是特殊产品,是天然的货币材料,发展黄金生产可直接获得建设资金。另外由于黄金生产成本低,利润多,市场稳定,风险少,有可靠的收入,因而对少数民族地区的脱贫致富有着重要的意义。在国际上,黄金是社会财富的一般代表,可以充当世界货币,是国际支付和结算的手段。目前,有了黄金就可直接换取美元和其它国际货币。少数民族地区的黄金生产发展了,也可拿出一部分换取外汇,转而在国外购买先进的技术设备,促进生产的发展。
