生物防火工程是有效预防和控制森林火灾的治本措施之一。生物防火主要是通过营造防火林带,将集中连片的林区割块、封边,形成闭合圈,起到阻火、隔火、断火的作用,提高森林的自然控火能力,减少火灾造成的损失。新疆阿尔泰山林区的地理环境和森林分布的特点具备开展生物防火工程建设的条件。同时,由于林区旅游业的快速发展和旅游基础设施不断增多,在阿山林区结合国家重点火险区综合治理项目开展防火林带的建设能有效地保护森林资源和旅游基础设施,保障森林旅游业的健康发展,对阿山推进林区经济发展和生态保护有着十分重要的意义。
