Global economic integration requires personnel training should take the composite and highly skilled route. The commercial English talents of higher vocational colleges have been widely welcomed in the international business and trade talent market in recent years, and the demand has been increasing year by year. However, the non-commercial higher vocational colleges, which are mainly engineering majors, have a relatively weak overall level of business English majors and their employment competitiveness in the market is not strong. Therefore, it is particularly important to reflect on and reform the training of business English professionals in non-commerce and vocational colleges. Based on the theory of multiple intelligences, this thesis makes use of the advantages of higher vocational colleges based on engineering major and centers on the students’ own advantageous resources. From the aspects of curriculum setup, training objectives and teacher optimization, students are trained to meet the requirements of “thick foundation, Caliber, live post ”three major requirements of the composite talent, in order to enhance the competitiveness of such students in the workplace.
