1994年11月9日17时许,正值临夏州消防支队官兵举行“119消防安全宣传日”活动结束之际,位于临夏市三道桥的浙临商城发生重大火灾。 无情的大火烧毁个体户吴跃芳的成品晴纶棉线衣库房一间和王国生、姚跟进的日用小百货批发铺面两间,直接经济损失28万余元。火灾原因是吴跃芳的晴纶棉线衣库房潮湿自燃引起。 17时5分,临夏消防中队接到报警,两辆消防车载着20名官兵冲出营门直奔火场。
