生物信号一般都要用数字滤波器进行处理以消除由于生理或物理原因产生的噪声对信号质量的影响。线性滤波在不同程度上都能用于眼动信号的处理,但线性滤波无法完全抑制脉冲型噪声,而非线性的中值滤波方法可以在保护信号轮廓的同时对信号进行平滑处理,特别是既可以剔除脉冲型噪声又可以使眼动信号的参数不受影响。眼动信号由潜伏期、持续时间、幅度和最大角速度来描述其特征,其中最大速度与各种疾病和失常有关,同时在疲劳、光线、药物和酒精的作用下会使最大速度
