Near the Fenglin Town, Yongjia County, covering the vast Mesozoic volcanic rocks along the eastern Zhejiang coast, the stratigraphic age was originally defined as a set of sedimentary formations of the Upper Jurassic Chawan Formation (J3c) or Lower Cretaceous Tarim Formation (K1g) The more abundant microfossils were found in the Neoproterozoic in some parts of China and in the Phillip and Wende lines on the continental platforms of Russia and Taiwan. Accordingly. The strata period should belong to Neoproterozoic. Thus providing an important and reliable window for the study of the basement structure of the eastern Zhejiang coast.
