在物质需求日益得到满足的今天,人们的生活需求已不再仅仅局限于吃饭穿衣等生理需求,更多的把目光聚焦在了生活娱乐等精神享受上。人们在茶余饭后,往往需要一种活动来消遣,而电影日益成为了大众,尤其是年轻人热捧的项目。作为艺术形式的一种,电影具有其独有的魅力,在供人们休闲娱乐的同时,也兼具着文化传播的任务。随着国际交流的扩展和延伸,电影作为文化交流的一个方面,也越来越受到了人们的关注。而电影片名的翻译则显得尤为重要。电影片名兼具艺术欣赏和商品广告的双重功效,如何在翻译时既能体现出电影内涵,又能同时具有很强的广告效应,是翻译的难点。本文首先分析了影响电影片名翻译的四个因素,接着探讨了英文电影片名的翻译策略。

This article first analyzes the four factors that affect the translation of movie titles, and then explores the translation strategies of English movie titles.
