在金属切削加工过程中,由于刀具对工件切削压力,就使受力部位的金属层从工件的母体上分离下来,形成了切屑。在这分离瞬间,切屑底层有一些颗粒金属小块,在高温高压下被粘附在刀刃上,就形成了“刀瘤”。我们称它为积屑瘤,如图1所示: 一般来说,积屑瘤的产生与切削速度有直接关系,实验证明:切削速度低于3公尺/分时,很少产生刀瘤,所以在使用宽刃光刀时,切削速度越低越好。当切削速度从3公尺/分逐渐提高到100公尺/分,我们可以发现,积屑瘤产生情况,随着切削速度的变化而变化,如图2所示:
