The 1991 Gulf War showed that dramatic changes have taken place in naval warfare. Just as 50 years ago the naval battle of Midway Island marked the carrier-based aircraft becoming the major force in naval warfare. Similarly, this fierce Gulf conflict marks the conclusion that the Tomahawk TLAM will be the main attack weapon of the Navy.
