听力是高等院校外语系学生的专业必修课之一。它是学生听、说、读、写、译诸能力,尤其是口语能力(听、说)培养的第一关。作为一项能力,听懂别人所说的英语是我国英语教学的目的之一。作为学习的手段,听又是掌握英语的必由之路。据《华盛顿邮报》报道,到美国进修的50％的中国学者和60％的留学生听不懂教师讲课,无法参加课堂讨论,感到压力很大,只好临时先补习英语。由此可见,迅速提高我国听力课教学和学生听力的水平,
Listening is one of the required compulsory courses for students majoring in foreign languages at institutions of higher learning. It is the first level of the students’ listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating abilities, especially speaking ability (listening and speaking). As an ability to understand what others say English is one of the purposes of English teaching in our country. As a learning tool, listening is the only way to master English. According to the Washington Post, 50% of Chinese scholars and 60% of the students who study in the United States do not understand the teacher’s lectures and are unable to participate in class discussions.
