回国后已经过了两个秋天了,那两个秋天都模模糊糊,如烟如梦,自己也不知道是怎么过去的;直到今年秋天,这才得着一点闲时闲情,偶然逛逛公园。在上海所有的公园里,谁都知道兆丰公园是最好的。除掉缺欠艺术品(如美丽的铜或石的雕刻)的点缀外,其他花木池沼的布置,和我见过的欧洲有名的公园比较起来,都没有丝毫愧色。我有时带着一本书走进园子,在树下听听虫鸣,在池边看看鸭泳,是可以把每天见闻所及的许多可憎可恶之事,暂时忘掉的。
Two falls have passed since I returned to China. Both of the fall are vague and dreamlike, and I do not know how I passed; until this autumn, I had some leisure time and occasional strolls park. Every park in Shanghai knows that Mega Park is the best. Apart from the embellishment of the lack of artwork (such as beautiful copper or stone carvings), the arrangement of other flowers and ponds is not as shameful as the famous European parks I have ever seen. Sometimes I walked into the garden with a book, heard the sounds of insects under the tree, and looked at the ducks swimming by the pool for the moment to forget many of the detestable and abominable things that I saw every day.
