山西中阳县位于吕梁山西麓,县城处在南川河中游,座落于风凰山脚下,城区5公里的范围内,居住人口1.4万人,有县级五小工业和企业27个,乡镇企业10个。近几年来,开矿采石,兴建工厂,居民建宅以及其它基本建设,由于忽视水土保持,任意倾倒生活垃圾和废弃土石、矿渣给生态环境带来严重污染和人为的水土流失。1984年以来,县委、政府多次召集水利水保、城建等有关单位研究对策,采取了一些积极措施,收到了比较显著的效果。其主要做法是:
Zhongyang County of Shanxi Province is located in the western foot of Luliang Mountain. The county seat is located in the middle reaches of Nanchuan River.
