粳稻在小孢子收缩期,不育系和保持系的小孢子形态结构类似。多数不育系的小孢子都得到发育,不同程度地充实有淀粉粒的花粉。同核异质的四种不育系单核大液泡期的小孢子出现呈同心圆状的复合膜状结构。与保持系明显不同。在野败型和野栽型不育系中,这种复合膜状结构比在BT型和滇型不育系中出现早且多。对成熟的花粉扫描电镜观察发现保持系花粉粒圆球形,而不育系显示出不同程度不规则,镀缩的花粉粒,野败型和野栽型不育系出现明显凹陷的花粉粒,BT和滇型不育系中仍有部分圆型饱满的花粉粒。
