在中古晚期,西欧部分地区初显出资本主义萌芽。商人阶层成为经济发展的主要动力,然而各国仍无法摆脱封建社会中王权与基督教会的影响。因此,教俗权力对英国和佛罗伦萨的商人也产生了不同的作用,使两个国家经济发展呈现出巨大差别,最终使英国成为欧洲率先进入资本主义的国家,而佛罗伦萨的经济发展却逐渐滞缓,本文就其原因进行分析。
In the late Middle Ages, capitalism sprouted in some parts of Western Europe at first. The merchant class has become the main driving force of economic development.
