纳西族是我国有着悠久历史和文化的少数民族之一,居住在云南西北、四川西南和西藏东南一带。以其语言特征分为东西两大方言区,人口约三十万。纳西族在其艰苦、漫长的历史发展和进程中,曾经创造过自己光辉灿烂的古代文化,并积累了丰富的科学知识和生产经验。同时也创造了大量的,内容丰富和绚丽多姿的神话,史诗、叙事诗,大型器乐组曲、大型壁画及山歌民谣等民间艺术。其中的风俗歌又以其浓郁的风格而独具特色。
