“Chemical ” the term first appeared in the preacher Wei Lianchen translated “geophysical” a book, followed by Xu Shou began to widely used, and then introduced to Japan. From the research on the historical environment of William Welch preaching and his educational background, he believes that the word “化” is derived from the traditional Chinese “化”, whose meaning is changed and enlightened. This meaning is the same as our traditional culture of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Among them, the closest to the classic “chemical” is the classic book of Taoism in China Taohuahua. According to this historical and cultural relationship, the fundamental meaning of “chemistry” is based on the “science of heaven and earth” that is based on change and enlightenment.
