First, the knowledge economy put forward higher education for adults. The Request for Renewal The wave of global informationization that emerged in the 1990s has shown a clues of a knowledge-based economy, which indicates that as the mankind enters the 21st century, it also ushers in a knowledge-based economy. The intelligence, innovation and variability of knowledge economy inevitably bring about omni-directional flush to the inherent concepts, functions, contents and means of adult education.
