明代至清初,黔西地区的居民以彝族为主,其上层又是朝廷在黔西地区的代言人,代表朝廷对黔西地区的各民族进行统治,彝族土官也就成了当地的最高统治者,他们拥有控制和管辖其统治区内各族人民的特权。因此在多民族杂居框架下及长期的共同生活中,作为主体民族的彝族在婚姻、丧葬、节日、着装等习俗方面对当地其他民族产生了重要而深远的影响。
From the Ming Dynasty to the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, the inhabitants in Qianxi mainly were Yi people. The upper part of the Ming Dynasty was also the spokesman for the imperial court in Qianxi area. They ruled all ethnic groups in Qianxi area on behalf of the court, and the Yi nationality officials became the supreme local rule They have the privilege of controlling and administering the people of all nationalities in their area of rule. Therefore, under the framework of multi-ethnic miscellaneous living and long-term co-living, the Yi nationality as the main ethnic group has an important and far-reaching impact on other local ethnic groups in the customs of marriage, funeral, festival, dress and so on.
