The authors recorded visual evoked potentials (VEPs) in 8 Parkinson-son’s patients under the stereotactic target in the anterior part of the medial pallidum (GPi) immediately behind the optic beam with a deep electrode and recorded the scalp VEPs. Patients 4 men 4 women, mean age 59.3 ± 7.0 years, visual acuity were normal. Using MRI and spiral CT to locate the target, after the initial positioning and then based on micro-recording technology and electrical stimulation of the final location.
