Abstract Objective To evaluate the curative effect of treatment of occipital neuralgia (ON) by using simplified CT-guided infiltration of the great occipital nerve (GON). Methods Approved by local authorities and exempted from written informed consent. In 33 patients with severe ON, a total of 37 CT-guided GON infiltration treatments were performed during 2012-2014. GON infiltration was performed at the first bend of the GON, with local anesthesia and cavazole between the inferior oblique muscle and the first semiradical muscle. painful
