1991年11月13日至24日,我随全国人大常委会三峡工程考察组去三峡进行了实地考察。在考察中,听取了三峡工程论证领导小组负责人关于三峡工程概况的介绍,审阅了三峡工程的论证报告及有关资料,沿途听取了川、鄂、湘三省有关地区负责人的汇报,实地考察了工程淹没区、开发性移民试点、城镇搬迁新址、三斗坪坝址、葛州坝水利枢纽、荆江大坝、荆江分洪区和洞庭湖区等,并与专家、库区干部群众进行了座谈。这次考察所到之处,干部、群众都异口同声要求三峡工程能早决策、早上马。考察组认为,这是有道理的,如果不尽早上马,首先将给库区经济和社会发展带来严
From November 13 to November 24, 1991, I visited the Three Gorges with the Three Gorges Project Inspection Team of the NPC Standing Committee. During the investigation, I listened to the introduction of the general manager of the Three Gorges Project, reviewed the Three Gorges Project demonstration report and relevant materials, and listened to reports from the responsible persons in the three provinces of Sichuan, Hubei and Hunan along the route. Project inundation area, pilot of developmental resettlement, relocation of new towns, Sandouping dam site, Gezhouba Dam, Jingjiang Dam, Jingjiang flood diversion area and Dongting Lake area, and also held discussions with experts and cadres and masses in the reservoir area. Wherever the inspection went, cadres and the masses all requested the Three Gorges Project to make early decisions in the morning. The inspection team believes that this makes sense.
