A highly sensitive fiber Bragg grating pressure sensor for thin-will strain canister used as a pressure substrate for oil down-hole was reported. The pressure sensitivity of the experiment was measured to be 1.23 × 1 0 - 4MPa- 1, many times higher than the reported sensitivity of other fiber Bragg grating sensors
