4 中国未来社会合格公民的适当定位?对于未来社会合格公民的定位问题显然可以从多种不同的角度去进行分析.例如,从数学教育的角度看,以下一些问题显然就有着特别的重要性:新一轮数学课程改革所追求的究竟是普遍的高标准还是普遍的低标准?这是否会影响到“数学精英”的培养,又是否会在数学上造成新的“两极分化”?等等.由于数学教育归根结底地说应当服务于总体性的培养目标,因此,除去上述方面的具体考虑以外,我们又应超出数学的范围而从更为一般的角度去进行分析.例如,在笔者看来,后者很可能也就是在做出以下总结时所采取的一个基本立场:“多项调查研究表明,近四年来的新课程实验进程总体上是积极健康的.……基础教育工作者普遍反映:真正实施新课程的地区,学生学习的主动性、积极性增强了;好奇心、
