介绍了建材工业用（特别指出水泥工业）使用的磨球的国内外研制、生产及使用概况。指出国外水泥工业用磨球以镍硬铸铁球，高、低铬铸球，高碳合金钢锻轧球为主，采用机械化生产。国内高铬铸球没有推广，低铬球质量参差不齐，上百家磨球生产厂生产品种繁多，各个厂磨耗和破碎率差异较大与国外先进水平比仍有很大差距。
The introduction of the domestic and foreign research, production and use of grinding balls used in building materials industry (especially pointed out cement industry) is introduced. It is pointed out that the cement balls used in foreign countries are made of nickel hard cast iron ball, high and low chromium cast ball, high carbon alloy steel forging and rolling ball, and mechanized production. Domestic high-chromium cast ball is not promoted, the quality of low-chromium ball is uneven, hundreds of ball mill production variety, various plant wear and crushing rate difference with the advanced level than still have a long way to go.
