Narrowband steel production technology seminar and China Metals Society Narrowband Academic Committee Work Conference was held in Zhangjiajie City from October 15 to October 19, 2003 with 46 production enterprises, scientific research departments and relevant agencies nearly 90 participants. After China’s steel production surpassed 100 million tons for four consecutive years, it recorded a record 1.9266 billion tons in 2002. Among them, the output of narrow strip steel increased from 11.8 million tons in 2001 to 15.05 million tons in 2002. The theme of the conference is to enhance the production technology of narrow strip steel and open up a win-win situation. Focus on the latest developments of the domestic and international narrow-band steel production technology; energy saving, adjustment of product structure and development of new products
